Backlights

Provides an area of uniform illumination, placed behind the object of interest, creating a sharp silhouette of high contrast.

Collimation is an available option to enhance edge sharpness.

Bar Lights

Also known as Linear Array Lights, offer both bright field or dark field illumination, depending on the angle of incidence.

Also useful for large area illumination over relatively long working distances.

Diffuse On-Axial Lights

Diffuse On-Axial Lights (DOAL) provide the ultimate highly-diffuse illumination and eliminate shadows thanks to the camera and light being on the same Z axis. 

Ideal for imaging highly reflective objects. 

Diffuse Lights

Machine vision dome lights provide diffuse  “cloudy-day illumination”;  soft illumination that is free of shadowing.  

Ideal for inspecting highly specular or curved objects at close working distances. 

Line Lights

Line Lights use a secondary integral lens to focus light into a narrow beam, which is mostly used with line scan cameras.

High intensity enables short exposures necessary for high speed line scan cameras.

Bright Field Ring Lights

Provides illumination directly onto the front of an object, at angles above 45 degrees from the surface.

This type of lighting is ample for many machine vision applications, and can often be mounted on the camera lens.

Dark Field Ring Lights

Provides illumination at a shallow angle to the surface.  

Applications include detecting surface defects or edge detection, where the low angle of incidence enhances visibility of surface features.

Spot Lights

Typically used as general-purpose illuminators.  Can be used to create bright field or dark field effects, depending on the light angle of incidence.

A Wide range of working distances are available.

Coaxial Lens Illuminators

Powerful and efficient light source for coaxial lenses that have a light-pipe port. 

Provides a cost effective and convenient replacement for older incandescent light pipe sources.
